I guess I forgot to explain to those that don't know. We tore out all the old, ugly and overgrown plants from our front yard and replace them with younger, more beautiful vegetation. It looks so much better. I wanted to take a picture of Rick ripping out the old stuff with Taya in the backhoe with him, but wouldn't you know it, my camera battery needed recharging. I guess all you get is the revitalized VanderVeen Homestead. More fruit trees being planted soon as well.
Here's the proof! I finally went to the tulip festival with Dorothy Peckover. I've lived here over 35 years and this is my first time stopping instead of just driving through to see the tulips.
Left side of the house. I love the little purple rhody. It's called "Blue Baron". Then why isn't it blue? I don't get it.
Right side of the house. Forgive the hose. We're working on getting a better system for out of control necessity!
Read to be planted. And beauty barked! :)

Taya and Sierra enjoying their new Aunt Kim. I wonder if Kim is enjoying being used as transportation.
The weighted hula-hoop was on the livingroom rug and Chez decided to go inside of it. Ryan thought it was a good photo op. Whatever!

Finally! A picture of the whole Nieves Family at the same time! Aren't they beautiful?!?! Sorry, it's a scanned picture so the quality isn't there, but at least you can see them all together.
